Chi Rho

Our Chi Rho group is for young people P6 and older. We gather every 2nd Sunday as part of the 10.30am Sunday service at Barnhill St. Margaret’s but move to the Church Hall to continue our own bible-based discussion and activities. These activities usually centre around food and games which are linked with the theme of that week’s service.

Chi-Rho are on a short break at the moment.  More information to follow.

Creche

At Barnhill St. Margaret’s children are welcome at both our Sunday services.

A creche facility can be provided; please contact office@bfpc.scot by Friday morning if this would be helpful to you.

Holiday Club

Children are invited to attend our holiday club with an FBI investigating team theme.

Next session is: to be confirmed

Places are limited, so please contact the office to book a place – office@bfpc.

Sunday School

Our Sunday School at Queen Street East has gone back to its traditional name. Our youngest children are welcome to come along, with or without a family member. We are currently using ‘Spill the Beans’ materials. The children are normally included in the first part of the Church service then go through with their leaders to the hall. They have some joint activities and then split into groups – including Bible class. The children are involved in maintaining a box in the Broughty Ferry community Garden, baking when the opportunity comes as well as a litter picking around Broughty Ferry.

The Sunday School have led the congregation to sponsor the Koroma family in The Gambia allowing the three children to attend school and College. If you could spare a small monthly amount to help the Koroma family, please contact the office for details: office@bfpc.scot

Toddler Groups

There is a wide selection of toys available and snacks are provided as well as tea and coffee for adults.

Barnhill St Margaret’s also has enclosed outdoor space when weather permits.

Girl Guiding

Rainbows is for girls age 5-7. Being a Rainbow is all about having the space to learn new things and have fun. Through taking part in a range of activities with girls of their own age, Rainbows develop self-confidence and make lots of new friends. We do arts and crafts, play games, learn new skills, earn badges, have campfires and make a promise to be kind and helpful.

Brownies is about getting together to work on badges, learn new skills, play games and see friends. It’s about trying activities and going to events, day trips, sleepovers, camps and holidays. All Brownies are sure to try new things and take on a broad range of challenges as they explore the topics that sit within our six programme themes – Know Myself, Express Myself, Be Well, Have Adventures, Take Action and Skills For My Future.

Guides have a varied programme designed to inspire and challenge girls from age 10 – 14 years of age. They will be involved in exciting activities at regular meetings to special events and trips away. The Guides will work on different badges and awards which will allow them to develop new skills and try new challenges.

We currently have:

Rainbow, Brownie and Guide Groups running at Barnhill St Margaret’s.

Brownie and Guide Groups running at St. Aidan’s.
